I just wanted to say something about breakfast.
They say that eating breakfast every day is important for weight loss and maintenance. It seems to work for me.
I didn't used to ever eat breakfast. And even now I don't tend to get hungry until 9:30 or ten. But I find when I eat breakfast I feel much better through the day and I think it helps me keep my weight under control.
I tend to eat an eggs, frozen waffles (natural, often wheat-free), turkey sausage, and hashbrowns. Not always all at once, but now and then I do. Usually it's one or two of those things.
What do you eat for breakfast? And if you don't eat it, why?

For breakfast I often have Kashi cereal, but dry (don't like milk), but I usually have yogurt (I know goofy like yogurt, but not milk). You know I like most dairy products except milk. I have fresh fruit if its in the house and ready to eat.
A friend was just telling me that she discovered that if she eats healthy homemade pancakes for breakfast they stick with her longer than the cereal.
If its cold out (which its not now) I will eat some type of hot cereal and my yogurt.
I eat breakfast when I work, usually whatever we serve, or a egg bagel sammich. My fav. is oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar and a little milk, yes Robin, milk. But I only like milk on cereal and such...not so much to just drink. I always think that cows milk is for baby cows not humans...yuk!
I so agree Julie - cows milk is for baby cows! I think my big turn off to milk was because we used to have it fresh from the barn and sometimes warm with fat floating in it... or as my dad said CREAM floating... I only like cream when its really cold and mixed with sugar (sorry Kay) - can we say ICE CREAM!
Yup! we sure can say ice cream at my house!!! :)
I NEVER ate breakfast till I met T. He cannot function without it. Now..if I do not eat breakfast I actually feel icky for the rest of the day.
I like omelets..green peppers and onions..with turkey bacon on the side. Whole wheat pancakes with honey are a fav. mmm...I like oatmeal..but I do not eat it healthy enough..I love raisins and brown sugar..lots of brown sugar on it. Yogurt and granola on top with a few blueberries. Sam's cereal with a sweetener or banana's on top.
I agree and try to eat a protien at breakfast.
You give good sound advice.

Okay, you just did breakfast, now do lunch, and the next could be supper!! Yippy! I have the next 2 for you, and maybe Mel & Robin could each give you 2 ideas. You may begin.
Actually Julie when I read your last post I thought it would have fit this blog perfectly as well as your own blog.

Love recipes..or any idea's of places that we can go out to eat that is healthy..or books that you recommend..you are always good at that! :)
